Boys ‘N’ Berry is one of those places that had hit my radar a while ago, and yet I couldn’t make it there for one reason or another – weird when brunch is one of my favourite things to do at weekends.

The moral of this is that some things in life are worth waiting for.  We made it there recently, and whilst I’m very simple with my breakfast, Mr B has a ritual, and breakfast is his favourite meal of the day.  It is never one course, it multiplies.

The decor feels like one of those cool eateries you now find all over East London. Open brick work with rich warm leather, with wooden chairs and tables. Simple, yet inviting. A refreshing change from the usual style of West London.

So what did Boys ‘N’ Berry offer.  Juices by the bottle for the vitamin hit, and then for me it’s my coffee – taking me to my happy place.

If you are serving up juice in the bottle, then keep the lids. The juice was delicious, but having two, and wanting to take one home, proved impossible – the lid had gone. Preferably serve the juice in a glass Boys!

The menu was enticing, but as a girl of seasonal habit, I had porridge.  It was delicious.  It was hot, tasty and nutritious. If it tastes as good as it looks, then I’m really happy.

Mr B had scrambled eggs with spinach – it was perfect. Just perfect. As easy as this should be, it is extraordinary how hard it is to find. I still dream (honestly I do) about a repeat.

I haven’t been for lunch, but I will say anywhere that produces breakfast as delicious as this, I’d go back, and soon.
