September is one of the busiest and most exciting months in our calendar, and 2019 seems to be hotting up to be the busiest yet! I can safely say I always have my highest footfall this month walking all over the place between LDF and Open House. As there is so much going on, we have done a slightly different format this month in that we have given you clicks within our categories to an extra page which lists all our faves. Enjoy.
After the wettest summer, we are looking at trying to be more sustainable this month. Our shop focuses on this important conversation – for us it is all about sustainable September. Here is your Super Seven with lots of extras!
Emerge Festival – 27-28 Sept. This is the first year for the new festival from Culture 24. It is a festival of night time events in museums, galleries, historic houses, and visual arts venues & icons. Let me wet your appetite… from silent discos at Tower Bridge, to skyline photography classes to gin tastings to retro war time tea dances. There is literally something for everyone. Watch this space for more exciting details on this festival.
Exhibitions in London. There are so many exhibitions to see this September that we have give you a Super Seven exhibition hit list, with things still to catch, and some to book ahead … What will be your favourite exhibition this Autumn?
Open House. One of our favourite events of the year, when you get the chance to delve into buildings usually unseen to the public. Here is our blog from last year so you can see the wonderful array of buildings on offer.

Katie does brilliant walk tours in London looking up at everything you thought you knew about, but really didn’t. Her attention to detail and her humour always have us going back for more.
London Theatre this Autumn. Again, with so many new shows opening, we struggled to pick one, so we have selected our Super Seven picks right here. Be under no illusion there are some fantastic shows and plays coming to town this Autumn 2019, we’ve also got a few favourites, and some ideas for Christmas.
London Design Festival 14-22 September. This festival is mind blowing. Whether you are into design or not, the installations and the events that are planned make it an absolute must-see if you are in London. The LDF website is brilliant, as it has divided up all the areas clearly. Take a look and we dare you not to be inspired a little if not a lot!
As an addition to London Fashion Week.. ANYA HINDMARCH.. Remember the Weave Project? This month sees her back in Soho for a Post Box Maze. It will be amazing – her events always are, and this one has a few workshops you can do as well. Sign me up for Calligraphy ! Book your tickets HERE.
Underbelly has an adult circus.. what a better way to see out Summer.. The Southbank is alive most of the time, but September is always a favourite time of year. Underbelly has some fantastic shows – if you have never been, it’s a great night out. Nothing smart, just a belly laugh and gorgeous views of London.
Are you a fan of the cult tv show, Friends? If so, this has hit our radar ahead for November. It is the Christmas Friends Festive, organised by Luna Cinema at the Truman Brewery. Tickets start at £32, for a whole day of Chandler, Rachel, Phoebe, Monica and Joey fun… I’ll be there for you.
