October seems to have come around so quickly this year, and London is really back in action with the opening of the new James Bond film. So he takes pride of place on the Super Seven this month, including a blog on where you can retrace his steps. If that’s not your thing, then look out for the fairs, festivals and take at look at this month’s Extra’s!

James Bond has hit town running after a two year hiatus, so who better to celebrate October than with 007. If you are a Bond fan, Burlington Arcade has to be on your go-to list. It has been transformed, and you can even walk through the replica of a gun barrel or shop whilst listening to the music of James Bond movies. Read our London with James Bond blog post for all the extra’s.

London Craft Week : 4-10 October. I have always loved LCW.  Interior design, high end fashion, creative leather workshops and food tastings. You can also listen to artisans talk about their craft. There is everything to learn and inspire you. Have a look at the LCW 2021 programme and book a few events. Many of them are free, some have a fee, but nearly all will require booking to maintain number capacity.

London Cocktail Week 1-31 October : Another reason I love October is that I love a cocktail as many of you know, and LCW is a great opportunity to get out and have some fun. Purchase a wristband for £15 or buy a bundle at £12.50 each for 6 and you will access a discount in over 250 London bars over the month. Discover new places, and sample new cocktails – a great time to see those friends you haven’t seen in two years!

Frieze London & Frieze Masters 13-17 October : Frieze is always a good idea… London’s largest contemporary art fair showcases over 150 of the worlds leading galleries and their artists.  Walk through Regent’s Park and the Queen’s Gardens for Frieze Sculptures. This year Frieze is spilling out onto No 9 Cork Street in Mayfair. A new hub that will present three exhibitions from International Galleries. It’s a busy weekend, but  really fabulous if you  like to immerse yourself in the world of art and design.

Strawberry Hill Flower Festival 8-10 October : If you have been inspired by Chelsea Flower Show this year, get up close with over 30 florists coming together to inspire you with workshops, talks and a visual floral feast of displays around the stunning Gothic Villa, that was home to Horace Walpole in Twickenham. Booking essential.

Ice Worlds 28-30 October | Greenwich are hosting a fantastic free festival of polar science and exploration with RSS Sir David Attenborough as it sails into town. Book your free ticket, and also catch the Exposure | Lives at Sea exhibition at the Maritime Museum.

Halloween in London : I couldn’t finish my Super Seven without including a few  Halloween tips.  The Tower of London for Halloween has let loose some ghosts to roam the Tower over half term or book the London Ghost Bus Tour that constantly lurks on Trafalgar Avenue.

Book now for the ATP Tennis at The Royal Albert Hall in November and watch the great and good of tennis – including the new darling of tennis, British US Open Champion Emma Raducanu.

Sheerlux Shopping online shopping event 1-3 October. This online shopping event is brilliant if you want to get ahead of Christmas and shop with  great discounts from some really fabulous curated brands.

Succession lands on your tv screens 18 October. It premiers at the London BFI 2021. Check out the festival, as there is so much to choose from since they have incorporated many of our lockdown TV favourites.

Virgin London Marathon 3 October : I imagine there is nothing more rewarding than running a marathon, but if that isn’t for you – then go along and cheer these incredible people on as they run the course around London on Sunday 3rd October. It is sure to be a marathon like no other after a 2 year hiatus.
