As I head down to Cornwall for a few days this month, I asked Tom for some good eating spots outside the big city.

I love nothing more than being by the sea, long walks and eating outside if possible. It seems a lot of my readers do too, because when I sounded this post out to a few people, there was a resounding yes please.

7 top Eating spots in cornwall

Cornwall has some of the finest dining along the coast, so if this year you are doing a little staycation, this is for you. There is nothing like a cream tea, but there is nothing like freshly caught fish, with maybe some cheeky chips on the side.

If you like the idea of fine dining, Tom has added some a couple of fine dining options as well. This post is really about good quality English food, that you remember for months after you’ve gone home.

All the restaurants are linked to their websites, and reservation pages. Please see to the bottom, where I have also linked a guide by another lovely Instagram friend who knows Devon and Cornwall like the back of her hand.

*** Breaking news : The Mariners in Rock are having a Tidal popup in front of their restaurant this summer. First up is 31 July & 1 August. No reservations, just pitch up to their new beach truck. More dates will be added – check their website for all details.
